Welcome to Danny Brooks' Soulsville! Hello and welcome to my site. Please take the time to surf my videos and discography, which includes my latest release 'No Easy Way Out' on Rockin' Camel Records. I grew up listening to Hank Williams and Taj Mahal when older brother Greg turned me onto Solomon Burke, Joe Tex, and Bobby Blue Bland, and that laid the bedrock for my writing and vocal styling. Years ago I had the privilege and honor to perform with Brownie McGhee, who told me as I was walking off stage, 'son fo' a white boy, you sho' nuff gotta suntan on the inside'.

DANNY BROOKS - MIRACLES FOR BREAKFAST - AVAILABLE! - John Wiley&Sons
The book is equal parts biographical, inspirational. motivational with a look at the music industry and overcoming addictions. It is a heartwarming story that mixes humor to offset heavy subject matter and shows that the underdog can overcome and become a winner from the most difficult of circumstances. It is Brooks' belief that no matter who you are, what you've done, how far down you've sunk and how bad you may feel about the present, there is absolutely nothing that God and you can't work out together and get back on a winning, happy and peaceful track. Purchase your personally autographed copy here. Watch for upcoming book signings in your area.

'Listening to Danny Brooks is like driving out of Memphis, TN on a sunny Saturday morning into the Mississippi Delta listening to WDIA. It's one of those things where time stands still. A dash of Eddie Hinton, Solomon Burke, Rev. James Cleveland and Howlin' Wolf are all ingredients in Danny's soulful musical stew'. states Greg Martin of the Kentucky Headhunters. Maybe Greg Quill, noted musician and arts writer for the Toronto Star, sums it up the best: 'This is Roots music of great distinction.' Be sure to check Danny's live appearances and don't forget to leave your message in his guestbook.
